Participants will learn rowing safety, rowing technique and boat handling
No previous experience necessary
When is it?
There are 6 program options (8 lessons in each program):
Monday & Wednesday June 3 – June 26 | Tuesday & Thursday June 4 – June 27 | Saturday & Sunday June 1 – June 23 |

What does it cost?
$360.00 (Note: The fee includes membership in Rowing Canada Aviron and Row Ontario as well as the cost of a season pass to Guelph Lake Conservation Area).
How many people can sign up?
Spaces are limited to a maximum of nine people per lesson option and coaching availability. So sign ups are first come, first served.
How fit do I have to be?
We welcome participants 18 years and up, of all abilities and fitness levels. You must be able to swim 30 metres. Some freedom of movement is required for getting into and out of the boat. Crews will also carry their boat to the water.
What do I wear?
Close fitting shorts (spandex bike-type shorts are ideal) or tights, and a t-shirt (with a sweatshirt or fleece if it is cold). Remember to wear/bring socks and a water bottle.
How do I keep rowing after Learn to Row?
In 2024, adult graduates can register for the Novice Program. Details will be discussed at the end of Learn to Row sessions.
